Description

In the autumn of 2018, Juan Villoro gave a lecture at Malba entitled "Narrative Consciousness." Mind and Writing took as its starting point the text of that lecture and evokes the friendship that Villoro maintained with his literary mentor, Sergio Pitol.

Starting with the memory of his last visit to her house, he retraces the readings and anecdotes they shared and attempts a journey that reveals how the mind operates in writing when "the narrator writes to find out something he does not know."
