“For volume 2, we decided to focus on Uruguay and Paraguay. But, after some deliberation, we added Argentina because we discovered new eccentrics in the City of Buenos Aires and the province of Buenos Aires. In this volume, we introduce you to a new tribe made up of visual artists, architects, and designers—the obvious choice, because freedom flows more freely among them—but we didn't want to make a book only about 'visual creatives' because it seemed to us that it didn't require much effort. We were determined to open ourselves up to discovering the habitats of other people; we wanted to include other professions and people of all ages (there are two wonderful eccentrics who are 90 years old!). And so, in recent months, we added lawyers, dentists, food journalists, screenwriters, booksellers, and discovered that they, too, had created spaces with magic and madness.”
