Make yourself a friend

Description

I didn't want to create just another book of logo images—most of which I still love—but rather a book where my students could find the answers to these questions. The biggest challenge was choosing the designers. These days, good logos are everywhere. The number of designers involved in logo and brand development is enormous. Everyone is designing logos everywhere. So, I decided to select designers from all over the world. Not just logo designers, but also graphic designers, typographers, sign makers, and experienced artists who work with logos and brands.

The logos selected for this book were designed over time and represent the voice of each designer, including the way they conceived and sketched out their ideas.
This book is dedicated to all the students whose questions keep their teachers on tenterhooks. The ones who tell their teachers they like designing logos generated in Photoshop, the ones who keep asking why logos have to be black, the ones who send them off to Google, praying they'll find the answers to their questions.
