Description
Buenos Aires. Coppola + Zuviría offers two distinct and complementary perspectives on Buenos Aires from photographers Horacio Coppola and Facundo De Zuviría.
Horacio Coppola's vision offers a glimpse into the city through his most emblematic images of the urban landscape, those with which he constructed his personal Buenos Aires: downtown and suburban streets, characteristic neighborhoods, and architectural transformations. The selected photographs were taken between 1929 and 1936 and include several previously unpublished images from the original negatives. Facundo de Zuviría's photographs strive to maintain a balance between urban landscapes and poetic abstraction, thus following Coppola's spirit. Building facades, shop windows, and neighborhoods appear, where an essential and profound Buenos Aires endures.
