Description

Collected Drawings, 1971–2017 is a publishing project that began in 2014. It occupies a space between a catalogue raisonné of Guillermo Kuitca's drawings—due to the significant number of drawings presented across a broad timeline—and an artist's book—due to the nature of the edition and its physical format. It brings together some 700 drawings selected from a vast body of work comprising more than 3,000 pieces produced over the artist's forty-six years of activity. The book's structure follows a chronological order, without being exhaustive, and presents a collection that allows us to understand the aesthetic, visual, and iconographic codes, concerns, and worlds with which the artist works as they unfold over time. All the works published in this project are from the artist's personal collection.
