Jorge Frascara was born in Buenos Aires in 1939. He graduated in 1961 from the National School of Fine Arts. He has resided in Canada since 1976 and is a professor of Art and Design at the University of Alberta, an honorary member of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada, and a member of the Technical Committee on Graphic Symbols of the International Organization for Standardization.
