A selection of more than 200 works by 40 international artists who have opened the boundaries of contemporary language.

The Jumex Collection is one of the largest collections of international contemporary art in Latin America. It brings together the works of a group of regional and international artists, including Gabriel Orozco, Rodney Graham, Francis Alÿs, Louise Lawler, Dan Graham, Thomas Hirschhorn, Minerva Cuevas, Mike Kelley, Santiago Sierra, Sharon Lockhart, Rineke Dijkstra, Andreas Gursky, Paul McCarthy, Thomas Demand, Jeff Wall, Tom Friedman, Olafur Eliasson, and Pablo Vargas Lugo.

The selection of works made by Carlos Basualdo, an Argentine curator based in the United States since the early 1990s, together with Patricia Martín, Mexican curator of La Colección Jumex, prioritizes video installations, large-format photographs and films, with the aim of updating the Argentine public and examining the new uses of the image by artists and the various modalities of the current relationship between artistic production and technology.

This publication features texts by curator Carlos Basualdo and by authors with extensive and renowned theoretical and critical work on new media. It also includes analytical profiles of the artists in the exhibition and a large collection of images.
