Siegerflieger— literally, “the victors’ plane”; the affectionate name given to the German team’s custom-built jumbo jet—is the photographic diary of Juergen Teller, photographer and football enthusiast. It documents the summer of 2014, when the German national team won the World Cup in Brazil. It includes both intimate photos of him in his family home and the massive welcome the team received at the Brandenburg Gate: the exuberance and fanaticism surrounding the team captured through Teller’s personal lens.
