Carlos A. Méndez Mosquera (1929-2009) was an architect, designer, advertising executive, but above all, a teacher. He loved to teach; he was a master of life and of what life had taught him, and he transmitted it with love and passion.
This book is both a tribute to and a guide to 20th-century graphic design, illustrated with material from his lectures. The first part is a summary of graphic design from that century, and the second is a master class he taught at the FADU/UBA (Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism) in his Graphic Design History course.
Reading this book is also about sharing countless anecdotes from the pioneers of graphic design in Argentina, who were his colleagues and friends.
