Buenos Aires Hydrospatial Public Space Tour: Changing & Mobile

Recorrido en espacio público Buenos Aires Hidroespacial: cambiante & móvil

As part of Gyula Kosice. Intergalactic, Malba invites you to leave the museum for two guided walks led by Esteban Bellotto and Lucía Seijo, inspired by The Hydrospatial City of Kosice.

Changing & Moving is a participatory walk led by Lucía Seijo, accompanied by an individual audio guide. Under the motto "Water is Me," adopted by Gyula Kosice, the experience is inspired by the principles of The Hydrospatial City, exploring the concept of water as a driving force, aesthetic emission, and poetic conduct.

This walk, which runs through the surroundings of Malba, aims to dissolve the antinomy between content and container. Participants are invited to question the functional city and consider alternatives that promote a free conception of the body, based on the constant mobility and adaptation offered by water. Through exercises and small actions, a new perspective on how we inhabit and perceive the city is revealed. What movements and behaviors does architecture offer us? What are the minimal elements, gaps, and signals that allow us to activate other ways of relating to space? How can urban construction enable or limit our sensitivity and dynamics in the environment?

Like Kosice's vision, the audio guide suggests a new modus vivendi that redefines, for each participant, how we move, think, speak, create, and conduct ourselves in urban space. Throughout the walk, participants carry out a series of actions, both individual and collective, designed to establish new connections between the body and the architectural, urban, and sensitive forms found in public spaces. At the beginning of the walk, participants are given small objects that function as key instruments for engaging with the city and activating the narrative proposed by the audio guide. These objects allow participants to experience other movements in space. Thus, the walk becomes a practice of liberation and discovery, enriching the emotional relationship with the environment.
